ShadeMotion

Simulation of tree shades in horizontal or tilted plots

ShadeMotion is an application that calculates the number of hours of shade that accumulate in the different points (cells) of a plot with trees, during periods of time determined by the user. The program produces visual shadow maps on the screen, statistical results, and files with various types of data.

Shades map

In ShadeMotion the plot can be located anywhere on Earth and users can choose:

  • Quantity and planting arrangements of the trees.
  • The shapes and dimensions of the treetops.
  • The growth patterns of the planted species.
