"Understanding how a conflict impacts a country is a difficult task. This dashboard uses nightlight data – data of light emissions over night – to try and visualize it. Several studies suggest a strong correlation between night light output and the GDP.

Nightlight During Conflict shows the nightlight data of Syria and Yemen over time to give you up to date insights on how conflict impacts them.

The website is built with Vue.js and the Vuetify component framework. To make the 3D map we used DECK.GL and the line plot was made with D3.js."
